Dining

imgAt Sylvan Crossings we understand the importance of food in our residents' lives. We offer delicious home-cooked, well-balanced meals that appeal to all the senses and make the dining experience enjoyable and satisfying.

Our menus are carefully planned and designed by our food services director and dietician to meet the nutritional needs of our residents and provide a wide variety of food options. Menus are scheduled in four-week cycles so that an entrée will only appear once a month. We take pride in preparing all meals from scratch, offering local fresh fruit and vegetables when available, and baking fresh desserts and pastries daily.

Special diets are always available and include low sugar, low fat, low/high calories, pureed food, or finger food.

Three meals a day are provided in the dining room, where residents meet to eat and socialize. The meals offer a standard menu, but alternates, such as a sandwich or boneless chicken breast, are always available for those who prefer something other than the standard menu. We offer a full breakfast daily. Basics such as cereal and toast are always available, even as snacks.

Snacks are available at any time of day, which includes seasonal fresh fruit, home baked cookies, and popcorn.
